Meet artist Dana Watson at coffee hour after service this Sunday, February 11. Her beautiful temari work is displayed in the glass showcase through February 27. Dana Watson used to have a variety of handcraft hobbies, but she abandoned all of them when she discovered the Japanese craft temari in 2005. She is now certified at the Advanced level by the Japan Temari Association in Tokyo, and is working toward her Shihan (Master) level. In 2016, she traveled to Japan to learn about different regional styles of temari. She enjoys attracting new students to this fascinating craft by teaching classes in the Triangle area of North Carolina.
