This Sunday, March 18 from 2-6 pm, join members of our Anti-Racism Ministry at a volunteer orientation offered by Alerta Migratoria, a local migrant-justice organization that has partnered with the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. The training will provide context and real-life examples of the results of Alerta Migratoria’s work as rapid responders in deportation defense, and it will equip attendees with the information necessary so that you can hit the ground running as Alerta volunteers in whatever capacity you are able to.
To participate, first review volunteer opportunities and sign up to become an Alerta volunteer at bit.ly/volunteer4alerta. You will then be emailed an orientation agenda. On Sunday, people will train according to what they signed up to do via bit.ly/volunteer4alerta. If you have questions, please contact [email protected]. If you are interested in carpooling with members of UUFR’s Anti-Racism Ministry, please contact Pat Butler at [email protected]
