World Religions (2 of 4) — Taken from readings from Huston Smith’s book, World Religions, this session will explore Judaism.  Part of each session will be devoted to experiencing a ritual of worship or preparing to worship from each tradition.  Led by Lois Cavanagh-Daley

NEW PROGRAM — Who’s Hungry in Wake County? How do local nonprofits deal with the growing need for services?  How can we help?  John Welch, Development Director for Urban Ministries of Wake County, describes the changing face of hunger in our community.

Theology Book Club — The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration (Parts 1-3 will be discussed): In this epic, beautifully written masterwork, Pulitzer Prize–winning author Isabel Wilkerson chronicles one of the great untold stories of American history: the decades-long migration of black citizens who fled the South for northern and western cities, in search of a better life.  The remainder of the book will be discussed at the March 13 Book Club meeting. This book is available as an e-book, from library, and as a used book from various sources. Led by Chris Wise.
