Ramadan Event with our Muslim Neighbors, Monday, May 13

As they did last year, the Institute for Turkish and Islamic Studies has asked UUFR members to join them for a Ramadan celebration the evening of Monday, May 13, in Founders Hall. Members of the Institute will provide the food and program. In accordance with Muslim practices during Ramadan, breaking bread will be at sunset.

This is an opportunity for us to celebrate an important holy day with our Muslim neighbors, building relationships and combating Islamophobia and other systems of oppression, including those targeting communities of color, Muslims and immigrants. Families with children are welcome.

Sign-ups will be downstairs in the lobby of Founders Hall at the Circle Dinners table. The UUFR Living the Pledge to End Racism Team is co-sponsoring this event with the Immigrant and Refugee Justice Ministry Team. Hope to see you there.
