Poetry and Spirit: Sunday, October 13, 9:30 am in the Emerson Room
We will discuss selections from “To Bless the Space between Us: A Book of Blessings” by the late poet and Celtic writer John O’Donohue. “The book intends to illuminate the gift a blessing can be, the doors it can open, the healing and transfiguration it can bring,” wrote O’Donohue. A blessing has an eye to the outside: it is an invocation, a calling forth: it evokes a sense of warmth and protection. This group provides a chance to listen to what the poems prompt from our hearts and to share as we wish with a small group in a safe circle.
