Sunday Usher Volunteers – UUFR would like to expand our staff of ushers for Sunday services. Volunteer one or two times a month on a set Sunday each month or as your schedule allows. Greet members and friends, hand out Orders of Service, and pass the offering plates in mid-service. Some training will be given. Contact Chris Breivogel for more information.

Sunday Morning Coffee Makers – No experience needed. Partner with an experienced server and work a couple of hours every two months. This fun experience is a great way to meet people. Contact Bonnie Latham to get started!

Knitters/Crocheters: Sit and Stitch for Social Justice – The UUFR Stitchers and friends are working with the Immigrant and Refugee Ministry Team that will furnish an apartment for a refugee family settling in the Raleigh area. As part of the project, the Stitchers would like to provide handmade blankets for the family(ies). The plan is to provide 10-inch squares — knitted or crocheted in a pattern and color of your choosing — to be incorporated by Nancy Devereux into a finished blanket for adults and/or children. The yarn should be worsted weight and acrylic for easy care. The main requirement is that the squares meet the 10×10 size criteria. We will be happy to provide yarn if you need it. Please contact Louise LaPlant or Judy Edmonston to volunteer or if you need yarn.
