Parents of Young Children Meetup Group: Sunday, January 26, 9:45 am (Nursery) – Parents and caregivers of children age 3 and under are invited to meet in the nursery with Elle Penley, our new point person for parent support for parents of young children. Bring your child(ren) for a chance to connect with fellow UUFR parents while the kids enjoy being together in a nursery full of toys. Contact Elle Penley for details.

Anti-Racism Workshops for Children – We hope your kids will join us in February for a special (and FUN) workshop series led by our anti-racism team! Participants can expect activities, stories, games, field trips, and lunch. Dates are February 9, 16, and 23 (from lunchtime until 5:00 pm).  A workshop series for adults will run at the same time. For details or to register, email [email protected]. Please let us know the ages of your children. Field trips off campus are planned each week for elementary-age through middle-school youth so that we can make the experience meaningful for your whole family.  Note: In spite of careful planning, we missed the fact that February 16 is in the middle of a four-day school holiday for students on a traditional calendar. We would like to adapt our plans to make the February Living the Pledge to End Racism workshop accessible to as many people as possible. Families who can attend February 9 and 23, please send an email to [email protected] to let us know ASAP. We are investigating ways to help you make up the information and experiences from the February 16th class.

Anti-Racism Workshops for Teens – Teens are especially invited to participate in two day-long anti-racism trainings.  High school students will attend with adults in sessions on March 28 and April 4 from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.  For more information, please email [email protected].
