Eagle Scout Project

Derek Mahato, a lifelong participant in UUFR’s Family Ministry Program, recently completed building an arbor bench. The bench, located near the upstairs entrance to Fellowship Hall, was designed and built as a requirement for Derek’s Eagle Scout project and completed by him and a team of 10 Scouts. His Scout mentor thought that it was the most complex project ever built by anyone in the troop, from a construction technique perspective. Congratulations to Derek and his parents, Dipak and Kristen Mahato, on the project and anticipated Eagle Scout Award, the highest award given in Boy Scouts USA. Members are encouraged to enjoy the bench at their leisure.
