Reverend James Kubal-Komoto’s Contract Extended

To the members and friends of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh,

On behalf of the UUFR Board of Directors, and with the unanimous support from the congregation within the congregational advisory vote at the December 5th Congregational Meeting, we are excited to announce the UUFR Board of Directors has voted to formally extend Rev. James Kubal-Komoto for another 2 years.

Evaluations of Rev. James’ performance as a minister and administrator have been overwhelmingly positive. Adjectives used to describe Rev. James have included “best,” “nicest,” “kindest,” “amazing,” “empathetic,” “caring,” “pleased,” “gentle,” “reliable,” “hardworking,” “organized,” “knowledgeable,” and “humorous.” Both staff and congregants have noted that Rev. James has a positive attitude, great sense of humor, and offers good guidance.

The Board is grateful for Rev. James’ time here at UUFR, and for these reasons, we are enthusiastic about our announcement of Rev. James’ contract extension to July 31st, 2024. We look forward to two more years with Rev. James as our Developmental Lead Minister.

In faith,

Laura Dupré
UUFR Board of Directors President 2021-2022
