Summer Kids’ Clothing Store Returns!

Monday, May 2nd, 2:00 – 5:00 pm– The next “Learning Store” for refugee children next month will provide a shopping experience for 30 refugee children ages 2 to 16. The kids earn play money to shop through participation in literacy and community programs with Lutheran Services. We are seeking donations for boys ages 5 to 16 and girls ages 2 to 14. Sizes run from toddler to junior and young adult. They need new or used, clean, ready-to-wear summer clothes, including shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses, swimwear, socks, and shoes. We can only accept new, unopened packages of underwear. Donations can be made in the UUFR Action Parking Lot on Fridays, April 15th, 22nd, and 29th, from 10:30 am – Noon. You can also leave a small, bagged donations on the Immigrant and Refugee Justice Ministry (IRJM) shelf in the tall cabinets in the lower-level entrance of Fellowship Hall during office hours.
We also welcome volunteers to help sort clothes on Sunday, May 1st, before the sale or Monday, May 2nd, to work at the sale.
