Perhaps you've been attending worship services, participating in youth or adult religious education classes, or attending a circle dinner or other social event, but need more information. Many newcomers take the Introduction to UUFR class, which provides a grounding in the basics of Unitarian Universalism and an introduction to UUFR.
New Member Connections. New member? Join this group of folks who have been UUFR members one year or less for fellowship, involvement, and deeper connections with UUFR and other members.
Members vote in congregational elections, take part in congregational decisionmaking, and are eligible for rites of passage without charge. Members are expected to participate in the life of the congregation and to make a pledge of financial support.
Joining Sundays are usually scheduled on First Sundays, but a person can become a member any time. We'll answer your questions, do the required paperwork, such as registration form, pledge card and interest inventory, and have you sign the membership book. You'll receive a New Member Packet with information about Unitarian Universalism, UUFR, and activities of interest.
The signing of the membership books is a formality, and an important historical record of members since the church was conceived. It is required before new member paperwork will be processed by the church office.
New members are presented to the congregation in a welcoming ceremony during a Sunday morning worship service.
