UUFR offers a wide variety of opportunities for fellowship and socializing. We invite you to participate!
New Members and Visitors
New member? Join this group of folks who have been UUFR members one year or less for fellowship, involvement, and deeper connections with UUFR and other members.
Hundreds of visitors and newcomers walk through UUFR's doors every year and we want to be a religious community that warmly welcomes everyone, no matter who they are or where they are on their journey. UUFR's Membership Committee needs volunteers to help staff our Welcome Table before the Sunday service and during the Sunday coffee hour, meet and greet visitors and newcomers, make welcome and followup calls to visitors and newcomers, and help with programs and activities that will help visitors and newcomers get involved and connect to UUFR as members and friends. Social Events
Congregation-wide Events
The UUFR Special Events committee organizes a variety of dinners and other social events for members and friends throughout the year. Typical events include chili suppers, beer and wine tastings, international dinners, picnics, and Thanksgiving dinners. Contact:

Circle Dinners
Circle Dinners provide opportunities to meet with other UU's in a small group for socializing and enjoyable dining. The host usually provides the entree, and guests bring the other courses. There are adult-only and family events. Contact:

Like to cook (or clean up)? The Special Events Committee provides refreshments for many Fellowship social and fundraising events. Second Friday Potluck & Friday Folkie Forum

The regular price is adults - $8, children between 5 & 12 - $4, and free for those under 5. Wednesday night dinner does not meet during the summer.
WomenTogether

Spiritual Practices Groups
UUFR's Terra Sancta group honors and celebrates earth-centered traditions that teach us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature and reverence for the interdependent web of being of which we are a part. The Triangle Freethought Society (TFS) is dedicated to issues surrounding nontheism. Our membership is made up of nontheists, post-theists, atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, skeptics, and humanists living and working in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. Social Groups
Young Adults Group
C23 is the UUFR group for people in the college, 20s, and 30s age range. The goal of the group is to augment the sense of community many of us feel at UUFR with a younger group. We do so through monthly gatherings (the second Sunday of every month), adult spiritual education programs, and chances to socialize. Connecting with other young adults through C23 offers UUFR members a smaller, and more intimate group in which to explore Unitarian Universalist beliefs, engage in social activism on behalf of our shared values, and to find people who might be in a similar life stage. C23 can provide a welcoming space to explore UUFR for both new and existing members in that transitional period of life. Fellowship Friends
Fellowship Friends meets on the third Thursdays of the month for a movie of interest, followed by a potluck lunch. The movie is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., and lunch is at noon. Everyone available during the day is welcome. Contact:

Interweave
Interweave is a membership organization affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association, dedicated to the spiritual, political, and social well-being of Unitarian Universalists who are confronting oppression as lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender persons, and their heterosexual allies. The Interweave group at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh holds social events at various venues throughout the year.
