Scrip Order Gift Cards

How UUFR’s Scrip Fundraising Program Works

New Online Form (Click here)

Step 1: UUFR members and friends buy “scrip” cards through UUFR at full face value (for example, a $25 or $100 Whole Foods card). Choose from a wide range of local retailers, including department stores and popular restaurants. NEW: Scrip cards can be ordered on our new form! Submit your order and bring your check to the Scrip table on Scrip Sunday and pick up your cards at that time.  A Scrip fundraising table will be set up in Founder’s Hall during coffee hour during the first Sunday of each month staffed with a knowledgeable fundraising team member who will be happy to answer your questions. Pay for your order with a check or cash for the cost of the cards (and a $5 fee for shipping costs). Scrip Sundays will always be the first Sunday of the month.

Step 2: UUFR buys the cards you’ve ordered at a reduced cost and keeps the difference between the face value of the card and the amount that the Fellowship pays for the card–between 1% and 17% of face value depending on the retailer–and uses the money to support the Fellowship’s programs and activities. For example, UUFR “earns” $5 when it pays $95 for a $100 scrip card purchased by a Fellowship member or friend.

Step 3: Cards can be picked up on Scrip Sundays. Purchasers are able to use the full face value of the cards in place of cash, checks, or credit cards for groceries, gas, dining, or other goods and services.

Reloadable cards can be re-loaded with funds with no extra cost for shipping. You can order online and pay for the reloads with a check on Scrip Sunday. Orders will automatically be reloaded as soon as they’re approved by staff and payment is received.
