Welcome to the UUFR Youth Religious Education (YRE) community! Ours is a warm, supportive and caring program, where children can feel comfortable, find acceptance and fellowship, and have fun.
Unitarian Universalists view religious development as a journey every individual makes. The Fellowship is an affirming and challenging environment which supports its members in their personal odysseys. Our programming is open to all, regardless of religious background or present beliefs, non-beliefs and wonderings. We gather to worship, celebrate, learn and grow. Come join us! YRE programming meets from 10:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m., at the same time as the regular Sunday worship service.
To enroll in classes or youth groups, all students must complete the 2011-2012 YRE Registration and Emergency/Medical Contact forms.
To volunteer to be a teacher, complete the YRE Teacher Application and the Teacher Background Check form.
We offer the following Sunday morning religious education programming for children through grade 5, as well as middle school and high school students.
- Nursery. Babies and toddlers up to 23 months.
- Friendship Finders. Preschoolers ages 2 and 3.
- Spiritplay Plus. 4-year-olds.
- Spiritplay. Kindergarten and first graders.
- Stories About God. Second graders.
- Timeless Themes. Third graders.
- Jesus and His Kingdom of Equals. Fourth and fifth graders.
- Active Learners. A program for children ages 5 through 10 who have a more active learning style.
