Lifespan Religious Education for Adults

UUFR is pleased to provide Lifespan Religious Education opportunities for adults during three distinct times during the week, greatly increasing the scope of courses, workshops, and support groups available to adults.

Wednesday Night Program Schedule

On Wednesday evenings we hold a short Vespers service at 6 p.m., led by one of our ministers or worship associates. Following the service, the Wednesday Night Dinner begins and is open to the congregation, with pre-registration. Children’s activities, including dinner, are available from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for families who have parents participating in dinner and/or education programs. We offer at least two or three options for adult education each week, which typically runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. We make an effort to include some parent-focused programs, which adjourn at 8 p.m.

  • Vespers 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary
  • Wednesday Night Dinner 6:15 p.m. in Founders Hall (pre-registration required)
  • Wellsprings Programs for Adults and Children 7 to 8:30 p.m. on various topics on locations around UUFR campus

Sunday Morning Schedule

UUFR's First Hour program runs from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and is followed by a short social time in Clara Barton room in Peace Hall.  During the ‘first hour’ of education, we offer multi-week or single-week sessions of adult programming in the areas of Membership Development (including new UU classes), UU Identity (theology and history), and Spiritual Practice. Childcare is available for children 0-4 and we offer a multi-aged program for children in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Our traditional worship service begins at 11 a.m. The service runs for one hour and is followed by a social hour in Founder's Hall. Children attend traditional religious education classes during the service.
