Middle School (grades 6-8)
Our Middle School class meets at 11:00 a.m. Sunday and uses the curriculum 'Families', which is part of the UUA's Tapestry of Faith curriculum. They will explore the questions: What is a family? What does a family do? Who defines family? This twelve-session program provides avenues for in-depth exploration of the diversity, commonality, and meaning of families. The complete curriculum is available online. Middle school students will also self-select a year-long class social action project. This year we will incorporate sessions based on bonding, fun, and community building within the group as well. Students use some Sunday morning sessions to plan 'youth group' events that take place at other times during the week.

Teens may serve as mentors in our Special Needs Ministry Class or preschool class assistants during the first service; arrangements to perform these volunteer services must be made in advance.

Middle School Youth Group meets separately about once per month.

Senior High (grades 9-12)
Senior High 'class' and High School 'youth group' are combined into one cohesive program that meets during the traditional Sunday morning worship service. This group meets promptly at 11:00 a.m. and the program wraps learning, community building, fun, and service into one. This year the class will have a paid lead teacher and will self select a year-long social action project. They will explore Unitarian Universalism with the curriculum 'Living In UUville' and practice articulating their personal philosophical perspectives with a discussion-based curriculum on the Simpsons.
