This Sunday Sunday Morning Forum will watch “Poverty’s Remains”, a talk by Robert Sapolsky of Stanford University, from the Great Courses series “Being Human: Life Lessons from the Frontiers or Science”. The video looks at a historical case of doctors who, failing to appreciate the impact of poverty on our bodies, invented an imaginary disease whose preventive methods killed thousands of people. It’s a peek into a corner of medical history that reveals lessons about the socioeconomics of medicine.

SMF meets for one hour on Sunday morning (9:30-10:30). Our purpose is to expose ourselves to topics of current relevance. Sometimes we have videos to get us started. We always have lively discussion.
