Position Posting:  Music Director

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh, NC seeks a creative, energetic individual to lead and grow a dynamic music program for a 400 member congregation. The Music Director position is half-time, and candidates with excellent leadership skills and musical experience are encouraged to apply. The Music Director must be an excellent pianist and skilled at leading a choir to help create worship that is spiritually powerful and emotionally moving. The Music Director will work to build the musical skills of the congregation by integrating new talent, new programs, and new forms of music into the existing music program.

The Music Director works collaboratively with the ministers and lay worship leaders to plan music for Sunday morning worship and other congregational events. The Music Director manages a budget that provides for contract musicians, sheet music purchases, and maintenance and acquisition of musical instruments.
