TJ District Trustee Election
As a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association/Thomas Jefferson District, UUFR has the right and responsibility to vote in the election for TJ District Trustee. This person sits on the UUA Board of Trustees and represents the TJ District.
Ed Wilde is completing two terms as the TJD representative on the Board of Trustees, so there is an opening for this position. Three candidates, Fred Anderson, Bob Gross, and Anna Olsen, are running for the position. UUFR members will vote at the March 18 congregational meeting. As a congregation, we have 10 votes. The number is based on our size and is equal to the number of delegates we send to the UUA General Assembly. All members of the congregation may vote, either at the March 18 meeting or by absentee ballot. Based on that outcome, we will divide our ten congregational votes proportionally among the three candidates. According to TJD policy, votes must be in whole numbers; fractional votes are not allowed. The UUFR Denominational Affairs Committee will oversee the counting and apportionment of the votes cast.
