The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh is a founding member of ONE Wake, a multiracial, multicultural, interfaith coalition of nearly 50 religious congregations and other civic organizations that advocate for the common good in Wake County.

ONE Wake’s current top issues are (1) affordable housing, (2) public transit, and (3) mental health.

During the coming months, UUFR members are invited to show up at the events listed below to support ONE Wake’s advocacy on these issues.

Wake County Budget Hearing
Tuesday, May 21, 7 p.m.
Purpose: Support increased county funding for drop-in shelter space for homeless individuals and the purchase of a facility for a permanent, year-round shelter.

Thursday, May 23, 6:30 – 9 p.m.
Purpose: Support the continuation of the Cary Housing Fund at $9 million.
