100.2 Organization

Organization of the Fellowship

The government of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh rests with the voting membership. Congregational meetings are held in the following manner - budget approval in the fourth quarter; annual election meeting in the first quarter; such other meetings as may be necessary.

The membership elects a Board of Directors to have general charge of the affairs and property of the Fellowship, to formulate policies and recommend actions for the consideration of the Fellowship and to administer the Fellowship in accordance with the bylaws. The Board of Directors meets at regular times each month.

Two councils, the Program Council and the Administrative Council, are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Fellowship. Other committees have been created for special functions that may not be considered day-to-day operations.

The Minister is an ex officio member of all boards, councils and committees.

Staff persons employed by the Fellowship are responsible to the Board of Directors. Responsibility for general supervision of paid staff is assigned to the Minister.
