Getting Involved in Social Action
Social action begins with you and your passion to be a part of the solution to poverty, racism, oppression, environmental degradation, injustice. UUFR offers many opportunities to put your UU values into action through social action. You can take part in our own UUFR social action projects, join us as we take part in community initiatives, or participate in denomination-wide Unitarian Universalist efforts. Or, you can develop your own project and work with the Social Action Committee to give it "wings".
If you are new to our Fellowship, we recommend that you attend one of our social action events to get a feel for the things we do.
Whatever your age, we welcome your involvement. Some of our most dedicated social activists are in our Middle School and High School youth groups.
If you're still not sure where you'd fit in, contact the Social Action Committee, and we can talk about your interests and how to make them come alive at UUFR.
Social action e-mail list: email list. Join to get up-to-date information on upcoming events or articles of interest (only members can post to this list, so you will get no spam).
