UUFR’s 2012 Gala

Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 12, when UUFR’s annual Gala Concert and Reception will again feature fine artists from the North Carolina Symphony, the Triangle Opera Studio, as well as UUFR’s own community. The reception will offer delicious desserts and drinks in a lovely setting. What a great way to get ready for Valentine’s Day!
And new this year, admission is free, and everyone is invited! (Donations will be accepted.) More information will be available soon.
Protect NC Families Benefit Concert
Saturday, February 18
Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 18, when UUFR hosts a benefit in support of Protect NC Families, a coalition to oppose the May 8 amendment regarding North Carolina’s unmarried couples, their families, and their status before the law. While the planning team is still in the process of finalizing performers and speakers, you can be guaranteed two hours of good music with friends in the cause for equality and dignity. The concert will start at 8:00 p.m. The suggested donation is $10, but we’re working on a sliding scale. Give what you can afford – nobody turned away, everybody welcome! Watch for more details soon.
UUFR's Winter Flea Market
Saturday, March 3, 8 a.m.-noon
Stuff, stuff and more stuff! Facing towering piles of your own accumulated artifacts, all out of storage space, and feeling you can never get organized and out from under it ?!? Tackle those piles of things, and bring your unwanted stuff to UUFR's biannual Flea Market!
The Flea Market is one of the best bargains in Raleigh, so invite your friends and neighbors too. You will find kitchenware, dishes, home decorating items, toys, pictures, decorations, clothing, small appliances, office supplies, furniture, rugs, and more. You may find that perfect item that you didn’t even know you needed!
The Flea Market takes place on Saturday, March 3, in Founder’s Hall from 8 a.m. to noon. Drop off your donations in Founders Hall from Sunday, February 26 through noon on Friday, March 2. On Sunday, please place your items in the lobby of Founders Hall.
Volunteers are needed on Friday to price items and on Saturday, to cashier, help with lunch, and clean up. Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board in the lobby of Founders Hall.
