Urban Ministries Food Pantry
The food pantry is an integral part of services to Wake County families in need. They provide a week’s worth of groceries to more than 30,000 people each year. They are currently in need of cold and hot cereals, oatmeal, breakfast bars, canned meat and fish, canned pasta, and canned fruits.
Leave items for Urban Ministries in the cabinets in the lower lobby of Fellowship Hall. Contact Jude Oliveri Burde with questions.

Helen Wright Center Needs Volunteers
We are in need of volunteers for the Helen Wright Meal Train. Do you think you would be able to volunteer to help provide a dinner? We will be feeding 30 women every third Monday each month. The food is dropped off at the Center in a coordinated effort among those contributing. A regular dinner meal consists of a main entrée, side, dessert and a beverage. Meal components can be home-cooked or store-bought. Any portion of the meal is welcomed. A menu is emailed two weeks prior to the delivery date. Most entrees can be made ahead of time and frozen. The number of meals needed may increase during the year. UUFR has been providing meals to the Center for many years and hopes to continue this valuable service. If you would like to be added to the email list of providers, please email Jude Oliveri Burde.
