Children's Responsibilities

How Children Can Be Part of a Caring Community

Our Sunday morning YRE program is designed to support and encourage the spiritual growth of the children of our Fellowship. We hope that Sunday morning classes will be safe, fun and interesting for all who participate.

Children and youth can enhance the learning experience for themselves and for others by:

  • Actively participating in discussions and activities.
  • Speaking and acting with respect for classmates, teachers and all members of the congregation and for oneself.
  • Treating our classrooms, materials and equipment with care.
  • Contributing to the creation of a Class Covenant and abiding by the covenant once it is established.
  • Talking with your family about what you did in class. Sharing ideas and thoughts is a great way to learn.
  • Serving the fellowship community and participating in social justice activities in the greater community.
  • Being stewards of good will in the world at large.
